Nobody is perfect and maybe I'm naive, but I like the idea that somebody can be honest AND competitive - that they won't compromise principles for glory. I haven't given up on the idea that only happens in Superman movies.Susan Greerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15226540039313653855noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1243869605763252988.post-75232227530299716152012-09-04T10:50:18.252-07:002012-09-04T10:50:18.252-07:00The 500 tests is a lie. Biggest sports fraud ever, well protected by the UCI and media/journalists that traded in access to Lance against their professional integrity.

On the other hand, it is admirable that he was able to come back after what he went through. Unfortunately, he didn't learn anything. But had he learned anything, he wouldn't have won those 7 tours that are now going to be removed. The fact, that he is still better off now, than if he hadn't cheated impressively shows that something's definitely completely wrong in today's world.

While I agree that all his contenders were on the juice too, they didn't have the same level of protection from the UCI and couldn't go that far and extreme with it. Furthermore, we don't know about all those (as you maybe mention with unsong heroes) riders like Bassons (who was faster on climbs than a clean Virenque) or others, who decided not to cheat, dope and lie. Sad for cycling and even worse that it could go on that long and took so much time to be exposed. But I still love the sport. I don't understand it how I am fascinated and enthusiastic while seeing all these liars ride, but I just love cycling, no matter what... :-)

Btw, I came across to your blog with the search term "armstrong floyd landis bad ass rider", as I think Lance said somethin similar initially about Floyd to. Floyd rocks. Sad he was on the liar train initially, but better late than never come out with the truth.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
